Topping-Off Ceremony at Twin Arrows

I attended the Topping-Off Ceremony at the Twin Arrows Resort and Casino project.  At this ceremony they celebrated the final iron being placed on the top of the building structure.  I met some of the Navajo iron workers who did such a fantastic job!   They said they liked having a job closer to home.

Backpacking from Navajo Mountain to Rainbow Bridge

Eunice Tso backpackingAt the end of April, I went on a three-day back packing trip from Navajo Mountain Hike to Rainbow Bridge next to Lake Powell.  It was the best three days of my life.  I couldn’t have asked for a better group or people to hike with.  They were awesome.  See pictures from my hike.

ETD projects from January to March

During the first quarter of this year, ETD was busy completing a report for Brown and Caldwell’s who was preparing a Regional Water Plan for three Chapters in northern Arizona.  We completed EAs for the Forest Lake and St. Michael’s cell towers, Crownpoint Power Line, Tuba City Regional Health Care Nursing Home Project, Navajo Water Management Branch-Water systems upgrade projects, and 12 scattered home-sites for the Southwest Indian Foundation and Navajo Partnership for Housing.

We also are working on getting a business site lease for a client who is proposing a housing manufacturing plant on the Navajo Nation, which has many challenges.  In addition, I’ve been working with Ron Interpreter to develop a training course on “Planning, Design and Construction - Navajo Capital Improvement Projects.”
